Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley Statement on IndyCar Racing Coming to Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE, WI – TODAY, Monday, September 25, County Executive David Crowley made the following statement following the announcement of IndyCar Racing coming to the Milwaukee Mile:
“I’m pleased to welcome IndyCar back to Milwaukee in 2024. Thanks to the strong partnership between the Milwaukee Mile, Wisconsin State Fair Park, and IndyCar Racing, the national spotlight will be on Milwaukee during Labor Day weekend for the first-ever IndyCar Series double header. Not only is this an exciting announcement for IndyCar Racing fans, but due to the Act 12 sales tax increase, this event will be a huge economic driver for our county. I’m looking forward to bringing racing back to the historic Milwaukee Mile.”NOTE: This press release was submitted to Urban Milwaukee and was not written by an Urban Milwaukee writer.
