Milwaukee Comedy Expands with New Partnerships, More Shows
New shows and special events will be added every month

MILWAUKEE, WIS – Milwaukee Comedy, LLC, the region’s premier independent comedy production company, announces partnerships with local venues and breweries to expand on the current live comedy events offered. After a successful 2018, producing an average of six different shows monthly, Milwaukee Comedy will expand its show lineup to feature weekend runs or alternating special events, producing nine to twelve unique live comedy shows every month.
With the closure of Jokerz Comedy Club and Milwaukee Comedy Cafe, the traditional stand up comedy club weekend in Milwaukee no longer exists. Milwaukee Comedy will fill this need by shifting its schedule of events on weeknights to utilizing Friday and Saturday nights at Var Gallery and Studios (second week, monthly), The Underground Collaborative (third week, monthly), and The Pabst Milwaukee Brewery & Taproom (fourth week, monthly). The first week of the month will be a rotating venue in order to offer special events at appropriate venues including Dandy, The Cooperage, Club Garibaldi, and others. In addition to shows every Friday and Saturday, Milwaukee Comedy will continue to present the popular Keg Stand Up show at Lakefront Brewery one Sunday a month.
“We are excited to announce an expansion of live comedy events in and around Milwaukee! With the closing of Jokerz and the Comedy Café, the weekends are void of regular stand up comedy every weekend. Milwaukee Comedy began as a simple website in 2008 with the intention of presenting a list of upcoming comedy shows in the city. Eventually offering 2-4 shows a year, MC has grown into the number one independent producer of live comedy events in the Greater Milwaukee area. In 2018 alone, the company produced 85 different comedy events including the Milwaukee Comedy Festival with such notable comedians as Colin Quinn, Todd Barry, Lizz Winstead, Joe Pera, Chris Fairbanks, and Shane Mauss.
