Milwaukee business leaders earn financial and legal awards from SBA Wisconsin
Businesses throughout Wisconsin invited to attend award ceremony and workshops
MILWAUKEE – Larry Glusman, of Davis & Kuelthau, S.C., has won the 2018 award for “Small Business Legal Assistance”, and John Miller, of the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation, has been named a “Financial Services Champion” by SBA Wisconsin.
Glusman and Miller will be recognized at the SCORE/SBA Small Business Awards Breakfast, Friday, May 4, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha.
A shareholder with David & Kuelthau, S.C. in Milwaukee, Glusman’s practice is focused on commercial lending, real estate and business transactions. He has worked closely with the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation for more than twenty years, documenting, closing and servicing MEDC loans to help local companies reach their business goals.
Miller is vice president and lending team leader at the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation, a participating lender in Milwaukee-area investment projects. For more than forty years, MEDC has partnered with banks to offer low interest loans to Milwaukee businesses.
SCORE Southeast Wisconsin, a nonprofit organization offering workshops and mentoring to startups and existing small businesses, and the Wisconsin District Office of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA), are co-hosting this annual award ceremony in conjunction with Small Business Week, April 30 – May 4.
The celebration of small business success in Wisconsin will include Keynote Speaker Carl Rick, leadership development specialist and third-generation spokesman for Kwik Trip. Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to attend a series of workshops:
