Milwaukee Bucks Exercise Team Option on Donte DiVincenzo
MILWAUKEE (Dec. 23, 2020) – The Milwaukee Bucks have exercised their fourth-year team option on guard Donte DiVincenzo for the 2021-22 season.
Last season, his second in the NBA, DiVincenzo played in 66 games (24 starts) with the Bucks and averaged career highs in points (9.2), rebounds (4.8) and assists (2.3) per game while leading the team with 85 steals. He also shot 45.5% from the field last season and scored in double figures 32 times after doing so only three times in 27 games as a rookie. The 6-4 guard also saw his first career postseason action in the 2020 playoffs where he appeared in 10 games (1 start) and averaged 6.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16.5 minutes per game.
Originally selected by the Bucks with the 17th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Villanova, DiVincenzo played in 93 games overall in his first two seasons with Milwaukee.
