MCTS Forward Initiative, Expanded Amtrak Service and Regional Rail Service on Agenda for Public Transportation, Utilities, and Waterways Review Board
Tomorrow – Thursday, October 8 – the Public Transportation, Utilities, and Waterways Review Board will discuss a communication from the Milwaukee County Transit System relating to the MCTS Forward service concepts and process, a communication from Amtrak relating to expanded Hiawatha Service and new service to Madison, as well as a communication from the Milwaukee Area-Racine-Kenosha (MARK) Passenger Rail Commission regarding to the expansion of rail to connect communities, according to Board Chair Alderman Robert J. Bauman.
MCTS Forward is a 12-to-18-month planning and public engagement effort launched by the Milwaukee County Transit System to address projected budget deficits and to shape the future of public transit in Milwaukee County.
The Public Transportation, Utilities, and Waterways Review Board meeting tomorrow (Thursday, October 8 at 10 a.m. in Room 301-A at City Hall, 200 E. Wells St.) will be carried live on the City Channel at www.milwaukee.gov/channel25.
