Mason Signs With Romanian Club FCC UAV Arad

MILWAUKEE – Former Marquette women’s basketball player Jaidynn Mason has signed a professional contract with FCC UAV Arad, a perennial contender in Romania’s Liga Națională and one of the country’s most successful women’s basketball clubs.

Mason completed her collegiate career this past season after making an immediate impact during her two years at Marquette. The Kansas City, Missouri native appeared in 60 games for the Golden Eagles, starting 57 contests and establishing herself as one of the BIG EAST’s top playmakers.

As a senior in 2025-26, Mason started all 29 games she appeared in and averaged 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and a team-high 4.6 assists per game. She ranked third in the BIG EAST in assists per game while dishing out a career-best 133 assists, leading the Golden Eagles’ offense throughout the season.

Mason recorded 15 games with at least five assists during her final campaign and posted a season-high 25 points in the season opener against Winthrop. She also scored 20 points against Villanova and handed out a season-best nine assists at Seton Hall.

In her first season at Marquette in 2024-25, Mason averaged 8.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game while helping guide the Golden Eagles to postseason play. She scored in double figures 13 times and excelled on both ends of the floor as one of the team’s most versatile guards.

Prior to arriving at Marquette, Mason spent two seasons at Southern Illinois, where she appeared in 53 games and averaged 10.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals per contest. As a sophomore in 2023-24, she averaged 14.0 points per game and finished among the Missouri Valley Conference’s leading scorers.

Mason finished her collegiate career with 1,090 points.
