Marquette Women’s Soccer Coach Frank Pelaez Steps Down
Pelaez was head coach last four seasons at MU
Marquette women’s soccer head coach Frank Pelaez is stepping down from his position with the program, effective immediately, Vice President and Director of Athletics Bill Scholl announced.
“I want to thank Frank for his contributions, dedication, and loyalty to Marquette over nearly 25 years with the program,” Scholl said. “I wish him, his wife Melissa and the entire family the best of luck in the future.”Pelaez recently completed his fourth season with the team as head coach and compiled an overall record of 27-29-8, including a 14-19-5 mark in BIG EAST Conference action. He also served as an assistant and associate head coach for 19 years with the Golden Eagles.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately and assistant coaches Erin Scott and Paul Sikinger will oversee the program during that process.
