Make Art MKE event comes to Mount Mary University this Sunday

5th District Alderman Lamont Westmoreland is inviting members of the community to attend the Make Art MKE event happening this Sunday, September 7 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event will take place at Mount Mary University, 2900 Menomonee River Pkwy.

“The Mount Mary Starving Artists’ Show was a longtime staple of the community, but in recent years Make Art MKE has stepped up to honor the history of the Mount Mary event, while working with local makers to showcase their talent and support the surrounding community,” said Alderman Westmoreland.

Make Art MKE is an outdoor event on the Mount Mary campus sponsored by re:Craft and Relic and Lit MKE. The event will take place rain or shine. More than 150+ artists and makers selling a variety of items from fine art to handmade goods, as well as local food trucks and more will be featured. A portion of the proceeds will go towards Cooper Park improvements and art programming at Milwaukee German Immersion School.
