Milwaukee, WI — The League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County today invited all spring primary election candidates in 12 local primary races to participate in the League’s online voter guide, which helps voters compare candidates. The February 20 primary election voter guide will be published January 30 on vote411.org which is run by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters of the United States with help from hundreds of local Leagues.

The Webby-award-winning VOTE411 website is updated prior to every election and is viewed by millions of voters nationwide. Local Leagues send questions pertaining to local issues to the candidates, and candidate responses are published verbatim.

“Participation in this free, nonpartisan election resource is a win/win for candidates and voters. Candidates get to reach all possible voters, and voters get to compare candidates’ answers,” said VOTE411 Team Leader Sarajane Kennedy. ”This is part of the League’s commitment to provide unbiased information to our community on the candidates and issues.”

To access the Voter Guide, voters simply go to www.vote411.org, enter their address and choose to see what is on their ballot. All February 20 primary election races – state, county and local – on their ballot appear with candidates and candidate responses to compare side-by-side.

Primary races covered in the February 20 Primary Election Voter Guide are Milwaukee County Supervisor District 18, Milwaukee City Mayor, Milwaukee City Council Districts 5, 7, and 11; Brookfield City Council District 5; Fox Point Village Board; Franklin Municipal Judge; and School Boards in Cudahy, Franklin, Greendale and Shorewood.
