Leading Manufacturing Corporations Come to Milwaukee to Discuss Partnership and Investment Opportunities with High Growth Startups

More than 200 startups are anticipated to apply for one-on-one meetings with an estimated 20 participating corporations.

August 3, 2017 (Milwaukee, WI) – gener8tor is hosting the inaugural OnRamp Manufacturing Conference on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More than 200 startups are anticipated to apply for one-on-one meetings with an estimated 20 participating corporations including A.O. Smith, GE, Caterpillar, Kohler, Dow Chemical, Lowe’s, Rockwell Automation, Harley-Davidson and Schneider.

Presented in partnership with Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) , the conference will bring together leading corporations, investors and startups for a day of networking and dealmaking. The conference will highlight innovations disrupting the manufacturing industry, the leaders making such innovations possible, and forecast how new technologies and business models will transform the burgeoning industry. The conference is expected to draw more than 500 attendees from the corporate, venture capital and startup communities.

Unique to OnRamp, the conference includes a Startup Track, featuring curated, one-on-one pitch sessions between selected startups and corporate venture capital and innovation executives from participating manufacturing companies to discuss potential customer relationships, strategic partnerships and, if appropriate, investment opportunities. Participation and conference registration is completely FREE for selected startups.

Currently, 20 corporations are registered to participate, including: Actuant, A.O. Smith, BP, Breakthrough Fuels, Caterpillar, Charter Manufacturing, Clorox, Dedicated Computing, Dow Chemical, DuPont, GE, Harley-Davidson, Kerry, Kohler, Lowe’s, Rockwell Automation, Sargento, Schneider, UPS, and U.S. Cellular. Corporate attendees include C-suite and senior executives from corporate venture capital, innovation, M&A, business development and strategy departments.
