MILWAUKEE (June 30, 2020) – Over a year ago, Lakefront Brewery began releasing special brews in a 500mL EuroBottle. Known as the Small Tank Series, these are very limited beers ranging from Belgian Ales to a “small beer” made from the second runnings of Black Friday Imperial Stout. For the sixth edition of the Small Tanks Series, Lakefront is announcing the release of a barrel-aged Biere De Garde.

“We took our Rendezvous, a French-style biere de garde, and let it age for 3 years in Brandy barrels,” said Lakefront’s Brand Manager Michael Stodola. “This traditional farmhouse ale is brewed with a special French ale yeast, giving it a subtle, yet delightful ester fruitiness. At 11.6%, it’s a bit boozy, but an excellent barrel-aged liquid.”

Lakefront is releasing the Small Tank Series Biere De Garde in 500mL bottles on Tuesday, July 7th and each bottle is $10. The Brewery will open sales on Tuesday, July 7th at 8am and asks that all orders be placed online ahead of pick-up time. People can choose their pick-up time between 3pm and 8pm later that day and pick up their bottles at Lakefront’s front entrance. Other to-go-beer, crowlers, and the daily takeout menu will be available as well.

Lakefront Brewery, Inc. distributes its products to over 30 states, Ukraine, South Korea, Sweden, China, Japan and Canada. Lakefront Brewery, Inc. produced the first beer in the United States made from 100% in-state-grown ingredients, including a first-of-its-kind, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain (Wisconsinite Summer Weiss), the first certified organic brewery and the first gluten-free beer granted label approval by the U.S. Government (New Grist).
