A donation today will help us add beauty to Milwaukee’s historic gathering place.
#GivingTuesday is an opportunity for you to help improve your community by supporting local organizations and we hope that Cathedral Square Friends, Inc. will be on your list.
Thanks to the many supporters of the Cathedral Square Friends, the square looks better than at any time in recent memory. This summer the lawn was green and lush. The new bushes filled out and looked great, and Milwaukee County Parks installed a new playground that was a big success.
We are continuing our efforts to improve Cathedral Square by expanding our successful “Color the Square” initiative. In 2018, we hung flowers baskets from eight poles in the square and in 2019 we expanded the program to eleven light poles. Each pole was decorated with two baskets that throughout the summer were overflowing with colorful flowers and plants. The sponsor-funded project delighted visitors who attended concerts and other events in the Square as well those eating lunch, playing games, enjoying the park, and even just passing by on The Hop.
This new effort will concentrate on getting funding to continue expanding the number of poles with hanging flower baskets in the Square. On this #Giving Tuesday, will you make a small donation to support our efforts?
