Intersection of North Water Street and East Clybourn Street to Be Repaved

Project takes place Thursday morning, July 25th, 2013

On Thursday, July 25, the intersection of North Water Street and East Clybourn Street will be repaved. The project involves grinding off the existing asphalt surface, and replacing it with a new asphalt pavement. New traffic lines and crosswalks will also be added.

Work will begin BEFORE the morning rush to ensure that the project will be completed by 12:00 noon on Thursday.

Traffic will be detoured as follows:

  • Westbound traffic on E. Clybourn will be rerouted onto N. Broadway south to E. St. Paul Ave. Take St. Paul over the bridge to N. Plankinton – right onto Plankinton to W. Clybourn
  • Northbound traffic on N. Water St. will be rerouted onto E. St. Paul Ave. west over the river to N. Plankinton – right onto Plankinton to W. Michigan – right onto Michigan to N. Water
  • Southbound traffic on N. Water St. will be rerouted onto E. Michigan west over the river to N. 2nd St. – left onto N. 2nd to W. St. Paul – left onto St. Paul over the river to N. Water St.

Again, this project is scheduled to be completed by 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 25
