Impact100 Greater Milwaukee Addresses the Critical Issue of Sex and Human Trafficking at Beyond the Headlines on February 13

Milwaukee – With the impending arrival of the Democratic National Convention this summer and the hundreds of thousands of visitors expected, the epidemic of sex trafficking in Milwaukee and Wisconsin, deserves serious exploration. Impact100 Greater Milwaukee’s next Beyond the Headlines issue awareness series will examine Sex and Human Trafficking on Thursday,

February 13, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at The Women’s Club, 813 E. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee.

Sex and Human Trafficking will feature a moderated discussion with, that includes Impact100 $100K grant recipients, Benedict Center (2017) and Pathfinders (2019) along with respected experts for a panel discussion from different perspectives to explore this troubling epidemic hiding in plain sight here. Panelists include:

· Dawn Jones, retired MPD Lieutenant specializing in Human Trafficking, Sex Trafficking of Children, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse.

· Linda Krieg, former VP and COO, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), former FBI Section Chief and current Ozaukee County Board Supervisor

· Lewis Wasserman, Criminal Defense Attorney

· Jeanne Geraci, Executive Director, Benedict Center (2017 $100K Impact100 Greater Milwaukee grant recipient)

· Tricia Lewis, MSW, APSW, Director of Anti-Violence Services, Pathfinders (2019 $100K Impact100 Greater Milwaukee grant recipient)
