Marquette Business series features fifth-generation Johnson family business leader, CEO of Johnson Outdoors

MILWAUKEE — Marquette University’s College of Business Administration will present Helen Johnson-Leipold, chief executive officer of Johnson Outdoors Inc. and chairman of Johnson Financial Group, as part of its June and Herman Loebl Women Business Leaders Speaker Series on Tuesday, April 12, at 4:30 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union Monaghan Ballroom, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Johnson-Leipold will present “Purpose, Values and People: The Cornerstones of a Legacy of Business Success.” Registration for the event is free, open to the public and available online.

Johnson-Leipold is a corporate leader with nearly four decades of experience in business transformation. She leads Johnson Outdoors, a publicly traded outdoor recreation equipment company and is the chairman of Johnson Financial Group, one of the nation’s largest private financial services companies, and The Johnson Foundation, a nationally recognized center of collaboration and catalyst for solutions to a better tomorrow. She became chairman and CEO of Johnson Outdoors in 1999. Johnson Outdoors is now a leader in the Outdoor Equipment Industry, with a portfolio of iconic outdoor equipment brands, and shareholder value has more than quadrupled during her tenure.

The June and Herman Loebl Women Business Leader Speaker Series features distinguished women business leaders who have reached the highest levels of achievement and leadership in their professional sphere. These leaders share their experiences and insights to inspire and ignite the Marquette community. This series incorporates a unique blend of presentation and interactive dialogues. In this way, it enables students, faculty, staff and the entire campus community to interact and engage with renowned women business leaders.
