Grab a bite and beverage during downtown Milwaukee’s Taste & Toast, March 2 – 6

Five nights of sipping and sampling at 25+ downtown Milwaukee restaurants

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (February 10, 2020) – Restaurant junkies rejoice! Taste & Toast, a happy hour event coordinated by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, returns March 2 – 6. The event features specially priced small plates, appetizers and one-of-a-kind beverages, alcoholic and nonalcoholic, from 4 to 7 p.m. at more than 25 restaurants, bars and lounges in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.

This year’s participants include: AJ Bombers, Ale Asylum Riverhouse, Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria, CANTINA Milwaukee, Cubanitas, DOC’s Commerce Smokehouse, East Town Kitchen & Bar, Flannery’s, Harbor House, The Harp, The Knick, McGillycuddy’s, Monarch Lounge, MOTOR® Bar & Restaurant, Oak Barrel Public House, Onesto, Red Rock Saloon, Red Star, The Rumpus Room, Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel | the Bar, SafeHouse, Smoke Shack, Stella Van Buren, Trinity Three Irish Pubs, Uncle Buck’s, Vagabond, Water Street Brewery and Who’s On Third.

“Taste & Toast is an event that encourages first-time diners and repeat patrons to sample downtown Milwaukee’s world-class restaurants while being easy on the wallet,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. “With amazing drink deals and menus full of bargain bites, we’re inspiring guests to try a new dig or a classic favorite during downtown’s premier happy hour event.”

As a bonus incentive for participating in Taste & Toast, diners will be asked to complete a survey following their experience to be entered to win the grand prize – four roundtrip tickets to any domestic or international Southwest Airlines destination. Tickets expire on 11/21/2020. Two runners-up will also be drawn and awarded $350 in dining gift certificates. To enter, participants will be asked to complete a Taste & Toast survey about their experience at www.tastetoastmke.com by March 9, 2020. At the conclusion of the event, winners will be randomly drawn.

Menus of 2020 Taste & Toast participants will be available for preview at www.tastetoastmke.com by mid-February. Taste & Toast is a prelude to Downtown Dining Week, which will return June 4 – 11, 2020.
