Gov. Evers Announces Appointments to Board of Regents
Gov. Tony Evers today announced three appointments to the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today announced three appointments to the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents:
- Karen Walsh, of Madison, is being appointed for a 7-year term from May 2, 2019 – May 1, 2026. A former journalist, Ms. Walsh spent more than 20 years working in various roles at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and currently serves as the director of a local family foundation dedicated to advancing human and animal health and welfare.
- Edmund Manydeeds III, of Eau Claire, is being appointed for a 7-year term from May 2, 2019 – May 1, 2026. Mr. Manydeeds received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Manydeeds previously served a 7-year term on the Board of Regents from April 23, 2010, to May 1, 2017.
- Olivia Woodmansee, a student at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, is being appointed as the Traditional Student Representative for a 2-year term from May 2, 2019–May 1, 2021.
