Frida festival and Puerto Rican Family Festival taking place this weekend

Alderman Scott Spiker invites residents to two festivals happening this weekend in the 13th Aldermanic District, also known as the Garden District.

The 2nd annual Frida Fest will take place TOMORROW – Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Farmhouse Paint & Sip (4511 S. 6th St.) and will feature food trucks, music and local art vendors. The Frida Fest is sponsored by Chuchos Red Tacos and the Farmhouse Paint & Sip.

The 8th annual Puerto Rican Family Festival will take place this Sunday, August 1st from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Wilson Park (1601 W. Howard Ave.) and will feature live performances and food vendorsThe Puerto Rican Family Festival is sponsored by Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin along with many, many others. For a full list, see the attached flyer.
