MILWAUKEE, WI, February 18, 2020 Chris Johns, an over twenty-year architectural veteran, has rejoined Eppstein Uhen Architects, Inc. (EUA), as Industrial Market Leader and Senior Project Manager with EUA’s Workplace studio.

Chris started his career at EUA, spending his first twelve years with EUA and most recently working as a leader for a Milwaukee-based design firm. During his former tenure at EUA, Chris supported clients like Uline, Derse and Acuity Insurance, collaborating with designers to execute the architectural vision for large corporate and industrial new construction and expansion projects. Ten years later, many of these clients are still working with EUA on continued facility expansions.

Over his career, Chris has continued to support industrial clients. His primary passion and background are in creating larger, flexible designed buildings for multi-tenant or single occupancy industrial and commercial clients. Working within a smaller firm, he has acted in multiple roles during the design process.

When asked about re-joining EUA, Johns replied, “I’m excited to return to EUA. I have seen some great work recently and am excited to be back where I started. This change allows me to focus on the types of project I love best, with the necessary resources that allow me to do my best work and deliver a positive experience to my clients. Seeing the firm win so many local prominent projects, like Komatsu, has me eager to see where we can go next.”

At EUA, Chris will support project development efforts in the Industrial market sector as well as lead projects and teams, helping solve clients’ needs to build trust and achieve successful results. He will be supporting and fostering long-term relationships with industrial-focused clients with an emphasis on ensuring his teams bring functional, experiential design solutions that bring clients a positive return on investment for their projects.

Rich Tennessen, President of EUA said “Bringing Chris back was a purposeful decision; with this investment we are bolstering our commitment to the industrial and manufacturing markets, and most importantly to our clients. Chris will be working with other talented professionals at EUA that have been partnering with key clients in this area including, Komatsu, Zund, Foxconn and others.”

Chris has a Bachelor of Science, Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) and American Institute of Architects (AIA).

EUA is already actively involved with Industrial clients supporting manufacturing, distribution and warehouse projects with over four million square feet completed in the last ten years. Recent clients include Uline, Hy Cite, Harley Davidson, Komatsu, Lockheed Martin and Little Potato Company.
