East Side Neighborhood Associations Announce Wisconsin Assembly 19th District Candidate Forum on July 20
Democratic primary Aug. 11 to determine who advances to the general election Nov. 3
MILWAUKEE, WI — July 14, 2026 — Five East Side neighborhood associations will co-host a Democratic primary election candidate forum for the Wisconsin State Assembly’s 19th District on Monday July 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Mark’s Church, 2618 N. Hackett Avenue, with a live virtual attendance option available for the public.
The forum offers Milwaukee voters a direct opportunity to hear from incumbent Ryan Clancy and challenger Bridget Maniaci before the primary election on Tuesday Aug. 11. The primary winner will advance to the Nov. 3 general election to represent the 19th District in Madison.
Jeramey Jannene, President of Urban Milwaukee, will moderate the 90-minute event. Candidates will address pre-selected questions on key state and district policy issues under strict time constraints. To ensure a structured format, only the candidates and the moderator will speak during the formal program. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the candidates face-to-face immediately following the forum’s conclusion.
The 19th Assembly District encompasses downtown Milwaukee, the Historic Third Ward, the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee campus, a portion of Bay View, and the Jackson Street and Garfield Avenue corridors.
The event is organized and sponsored by the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association, Historic Water Tower Neighborhood, Cambridge Woods Neighborhood Association, Mariners Neighborhood Association MKE and the East Bank Neighborhood Association.
