DFI Secretary-designee Olson-Collins Announces Patti Epstein Appointed DFI Deputy Secretary
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) Secretary-designee Cheryll Olson-Collins today announced she appointed Patti Epstein to succeed her as the DFI deputy secretary. DFI Deputy Secretary Epstein assumed the role on Jan. 17. Prior to serving as deputy secretary, Epstein was the administrator of the DFI’s Division of Corporate and Consumer Services.
“Patti is a great addition to the DFI leadership team with her extensive business experience and commitment to serving this agency and its stakeholders,” said DFI Secretary-designee Olson-Collins. “Together, we are well-poised to leverage the strengths of our agency to protect the safety and soundness of Wisconsin’s financial institutions, safeguard the investing public, facilitate commerce, and increase financial capability throughout the state.”
Before entering state service, DFI Deputy Secretary Epstein held leadership roles in charitable organizations and private sector businesses. She has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in high-level corporate operations with profit and loss responsibility and a history of success leading complex projects. She is known for her commitment to culture and delivering results on local and national levels.
DFI Deputy Secretary Epstein has served on corporate and non-profit boards for more than two decades. Current board service includes Gallant Knight Limousine Service, TEMPO-Madison, Madison Trust for Historic Preservation and three UW Health advisory councils. DFI Deputy Secretary Epstein holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in computer science. She currently resides just outside of Madison, Wis.
