Derrick Van Orden Remains Unapologetically in Line With Increasingly Unpopular President Donald Trump

MADISON, Wis. — Today’s Marquette Law Poll shows that Wisconsinites’ support of Donald Trump continues to plummet as a result of the economic pain caused by his administration. Despite the fact that Wisconsinites have been overwhelming clear in their disapproval of the Trump administration, Derrick Van Orden went on a press run over the weekend and said he would welcome Donald Trump to the state to campaign for him and went so far as to admit that he will stand by the president even if it is not popular.

“Derrick Van Orden has given Wisconsin voters the middle finger by standing with Trump while families struggle to afford gas and groceries because of the administration’s tariffs and war-of-choice with Iran,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Haley King. “It is unclear which part of the word ‘representative’ Van Orden misunderstands, but his job is to represent the will of his constituents, not protect the President’s feelings.”
