MADISON – The following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Martha Laning honoring the 44th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade:
“Today, we honor 44 years of a woman having the choice to make her own decisions with regards to her health.
“Democrats have long believed that every woman should have access to the reproductive health care they need and that politicians have no place intruding on the health care decisions a woman makes with her family, her faith, and under the guidance of her doctor.
“As politicians continue to try to chip away at Roe v. Wade we must continue to hold fast to our values and fight against all efforts to reduce women’s access to affordable care.”
