MADISON, Wis. — Yesterday, it was reported that another gubernatorial debate has been canceled because MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany “would not agree to additional planned debates.”
“Congressman Tom Tiffany is refusing to debate because he knows he can’t defend his votes for high gas prices and tariffs, which are raising costs on everything from groceries to new shoes, ” says Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Congressman Tiffany thinks he can hide behind billionaire donors bankrolling his campaign and folksy ads, but voters aren’t fooled and they’ll reject him and his MAGA record in November.”
- MAGA Extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany has rubber-stamped Trump’s entire cost-raising MAGA agenda, voting with him 100% of the time, raising prices on everything from gas and groceries to utilities and healthcare.
- Tiffany voted for the most extreme cut to healthcare in U.S. history as part of Republicans’ “Big Ugly Bill,” which gutted Medicaid and could cause over 270,000 Wisconsinites to lose health insurance coverage.
- In Congress, Tom Tiffany co-sponsored a national six-week abortion ban — before most women know they’re pregnant — that didn’t include exceptions for rape or incest.
- Tom Tiffany voted for MAGA policies that have increased costs for the average American family by nearly $181 on utility bills in 2025.
- Despite claiming he would “stop Wall Street” from buying up homes and cut red tape to make housing more affordable in Wisconsin, on three separate occasions, Tiffany skipped a vote in Congress on a bill that would do just that this year.
- Tiffany voted seven times to protect Trump’s tariffs even as Wisconsin companies and consumers paid approximately $3.5 billion in tariffs between March and December 2025.
- Tom Tiffany strongly supports tariffs and has said “I support them. I mean, tariffs have certainly had an impact” and even admitted tariffs would cause Wisconsinites pain, saying “there have been some people that have been hurt by the tariffs, there’s no doubt about it.”
- In January, Tom Tiffany took a selfie in front of a Wisconsin gas station and told Wisconsinites that 2026 would be “the cheapest year for gas” in the past six years thanks to MAGA policies. Tiffany endorsed Trump’s unprovoked war with Iran, which has sent gas and diesel prices skyrocketing in Wisconsin and has driven up costs across the board.
- Tom Tiffany voted to overturn President Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania and Arizona and said that he would have voted to overturn Wisconsin’s election results if a vote had been held.
- Tiffany was the only Wisconsin Republican to sign the Texas brief that sued to overturn the 2020 election results in four swing states, including Wisconsin.
- Tom Tiffany is a MAGA extremist who voted against the release of the Epstein files and defended abusers instead of standing up for child sex abuse survivors.
