MADISON, Wis. – Today, David Crowley slammed MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany for trying to sell the Governor’s office to billionaires following reports that Tiffany raised $26 million, with $24 million coming from just three donors in the last fundraising period.

“These billionaires know that if they buy Congressman Tom Tiffany this election, he will sell out Wisconsin to them,” Crowley said. “To them, this is just Monopoly money. These are billionaires who have unlimited resources and know that if the choice is between them and working families, Tom Tiffany will choose them every time. And they know that because he already did that. In Washington, Congressman Tiffany voted to protect billionaires in the Epstein files even after it was reported there were victims as young as 14 years old. He has done everything he can to help Donald Trump line his own pockets. And he gave his billionaire donors a massive tax cut – all while making everything more expensive in Wisconsin.”

“And guess what? You and I are stuck paying the price,” Crowley continued. “Our healthcare has gotten more expensive, our schools are underfunded, and gas prices are through the roof. This is Washington corruption at its worst, and we don’t need that in Wisconsin. It’s why we need to reject Tom Tiffany in November. You see, this represents the latest down-payment from the billionaire class to hand Tom Tiffany the governor’s office and make him do whatever they want.”

According to campaign finance reports, the money behind Congressman Tiffany’s campaign totals up to $66 million:

  • $34.4 million from Richard Uihlein, Elizabeth Uihlein, and Diane Hendricks, funneled to Tom Tiffany through the Republican Party of Wisconsin
  • $11.3 million in spending by Restoration of America PAC, funded largely by Richard Uihlein
  • $9.3 million in spending by First Amendment LLC, a Virginia-based group that doesn’t have to disclose its donors
  • $6 million in spending by the Republican Governors Association’s Right Direction Wisconsin PAC
  • $5 million in spending by the Koch network group Americans for Prosperity
