David Crowley for Governor Campaign Announces Over $550,000 Raised Since Re-Entering Race
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Today, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, candidate for Governor of Wisconsin, announced that his campaign has raised over $550,000 since re-entering the race for Governor.
In the last five days, the Crowley campaign has raised more than any other Democratic candidate had on hand at the July Continuing campaign finance report.
The Crowley campaign continues to show growing momentum. After announcing endorsements from Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council, the campaign released polling on Wednesday showing that Crowley had surged into second place.
“This kind of support in such a short window tells me Wisconsin Democrats want a nominee with a record of delivering results, not just talking about them,” said Crowley. “People from communities across our state are joining this campaign because they know what’s at stake in November. We need a governor who can win, govern from day one, and fight for working families. That’s the campaign we’re building, and this momentum is only growing.”
The Crowley campaign also announced a six-figure statewide ad buy that began yesterday.
David Crowley is the Milwaukee County Executive and the first African American and youngest person elected to that office. Raised in Milwaukee in a union household, he has balanced billion dollar budgets, delivered the largest property tax cut in county history, added over 1,000 units of affordable housing in 6 years, including suburban communities for the first time, and cut opioid deaths in half. He has won every race for the Legislature and County Executive.
