Dana Wachs calls out Walker administration for its attempt to silence political opponent

"This is pure political manipulation."

EAU CLAIRE – Dana Wachs this week called out Gov. Scott Walker’s administration for its attempt to silence a Democratic candidate for governor. Wachs spoke out in defense of Tony Evers following a decision by the Walker administration to deny Evers independent legal counsel in a lawsuit between Evers and Walker.

“This is pure political manipulation. Gov. Walker is desperate to discredit his opponents for the 2018 election. As an attorney for more than 31 years, I know how important a strong defense is in the courtroom. But it doesn’t take a lawyer to know that Gov. Walker is trying to rig the lawsuit against Tony Evers to make sure Evers loses.

“Wisconsin deserves a fair fight for the governor’s office in 2018. Walker is already corrupting the race by trying to silence Evers. A real leader isn’t afraid of the truth.”
