Cousins Subs® Announces Grant Recipients and Launch of Semi-Annual Round Up Campaign

MILWAUKEE (March 4, 2024)Cousins Subs® is proud to announce the recipients of its Make It Better Foundation grants, totaling $10,500, and the launch of its semi-annual Round Up Campaign. These initiatives aim to address vital community needs in health and wellness, hunger, and youth education.

“We are honored to support these organizations and their vital initiatives,” said Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs. “Through the Make It Better Foundation, we are able to stay true to our mission and make a positive difference in our communities.”

Grant Recipients:

  • Oak Creek Lions Foundation: Cousins Subs provided a $1,000 grant to support the Oak Creek Lions Foundation’s mission of providing essential vision care to elementary school children. This funding will help acquire a new vision screening device, enabling early identification and addressing of vision issues.
  • Raise and Relish, Inc.: With a grant of $4,500, Cousins Subs contributed to Raise and Relish, Inc.’s “Menomonee Falls Village Market Producer to Pantry Program” and “SNAP Tote Program.” These initiatives aim to alleviate food insecurity by providing local, nutritious food to community members in need.
  • Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association: Cousins Subs awarded a $5,000 grant to the Wisconsin Adaptive Sports Association to support their “Disability Education and Outreach Program.” This program enhances the health and quality of life for minority, economically disadvantaged and physically challenged youth through inclusive adaptive sports and fitness programs.

Round Up Campaign:

Cousins Subs also announced today the launch of its semi-annual Round Up Campaign. Throughout March, guests are encouraged to round up their in-store check to the nearest dollar in support of the Make It Better Foundation. Online patrons can also choose to add a $0.25 or $0.50 donation to their order through the Cousins Subs website or mobile app.

“The Round Up Campaign is an easy and affordable way for our guests to support their local community,” said McCoy. “We’re calling on Cousins Subs enthusiasts to help us make our communities a better place by rounding up or adding a donation to their online order each time they enjoy a meal this month.”

Since the inception of the Make It Better Foundation in 2013, Cousins Subs has made a big difference for those in the communities it calls home in the following ways:

  • Granted more than $1 million to 220 nonprofit organizations that improve health & wellness, youth education and hunger.
  • Gifted $400,000 to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation and Starr Children’s Fund to fight cancer.
  • Awarded a total of $200,000 in college scholarships to 40 high school student-athletes from across the state of Wisconsin.
  • Donated more than $151,000 to Hunger Task Force and its affiliated pantries to fight food insecurity.
