Come Snow or Come Shine, Caroling Set Along North Avenue Friday
Free event is open to families, children, adults.
Whatever the weather…carolers will be spreading holiday cheer Friday along Milwaukee’s North Avenue.
The holiday singalong, sponsored by Business Improvement District (BID) 32, is set for 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., beginning at St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care, 2450 W. North Ave.
Adults and children from the neighborhood, local churches and businesses will don warm apparel (current forecast indicates temperatures of about 32 degrees for Friday) and share songs of the season. After fueling up on hot cocoa and cookies, the singers will leave the center and walk east on North Avenue past Fond du Lac Avenue to 17th Street, stopping to carol at businesses along the way. The BID hopes to make the caroling an annual holiday tradition.
Song sheets will be provided. If you’re interested in joining the carolers, contact John Jansen, Vice President-Grants, Community & Capital Development, at 414-977-5031.
