Janesville, WI –Today, Cathy Myers announced that she has raised $30,182.62 in the 24 hours after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced it was endorsing Randy Bryce in the August 14th Democratic Primary in Wisconsin’s 1st District. Myers has served as a Janesville School Board Member since 2013.

Cathy Myers rereleased her video, ‘We Will Not Be Ignored’, in response to the DCCC’s announcement.

“I love the primary process and I truly believe it makes candidates stronger, so it’s disheartening to see Washington, D.C. folks rushing in to try to tip the scale in one way and ignore the will of local voters. I jumped into this race to represent the people of Wisconsin and I’m going to win this primary by continuing to work hard to ensure that their voices are heard,” said Cathy Myers.

Cathy Myers is a two-time elected Janesville School Board Member and 24-year veteran teacher and union member. As a single mother of two, Myers knows the struggle of a working family and is dedicated to fighting for them. Myers is both the only female in the race and Paul Ryan’s only Democratic challenger who has won an election.
