MILWAUKEE, WI, June 23, 2023 Cathedral Center will host their annual Pathway Home event on July 26th at the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery in the Great Hall, 923 W Juneau Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53233 from 5pm-8pm. This heartwarming evening will celebrate community leaders who support programs that end homelessness through their Woman of the Word and Client Transformation awards. Along with our 2023 Woman of the Word honoree, Danae Davis, Cathedral Center’s 2023 Client Transformation honoree is Brenda Stancyk and her family. This will mark the first time that Cathedral Center has honored a family for this award.

Our co-chairs for the event this year are MATC’s Tony Tagliavia, Northwestern Mutual’s Julia Fennelly, and Dental AssociatesBill Klingsporn. Tony states, “Supporting the Cathedral Center means investing in the critical, immediate needs of women and families in our community — and growing innovative solutions that connect those in need with greater stability. The center’s meaningful and intentional combination of services — safe and secure housing, building income, and greater health and wellbeing — is ending homelessness one life at a time. The staff and leadership live out this mission every day and I am honored to help advance it.” We hope you can join Tony, Julia, and Bill in helping us take one step further in our mission by being involved with Pathway Home 2023.

Pathway Home 2023 will have an auction, a raffle, a wine pull, food, drinks, music, and more to make for a special night for those who make Cathedral Center’s work possible. Tickets to attend the event are $75 and are available now. We would like to thank our Presenting Sponsors so far; Johnson Financial Group, Peter Geisert, and Liz Sellars & Tom Sellars as well as the rest of the amazing individuals and companies that are sponsoring this year’s event. For more information on the event, tickets, or sponsorship opportunities, please visit cathedral-center.org/how-to-get-involved/events/.

In 2022, Cathedral Center provided 24,089 nights of emergency housing and shelter to 250 women and 261 individuals within 74 families between two locations. An additional 56 women and 111 families were aided to avoid homelessness. Since 2002, Cathedral Center remains one of the largest local emergency shelters dedicated solely to serving women and families with children experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis.
