Broadway Balances America invites you to “GET READY” for MOTOWN THE MUSICAL

Airing Exclusively on The Balancing Act® Tuesday, November 18th at 7:30 am (ET/PT)

2335(Milwaukee, WI, November 14, 2014) MOTOWN THE MUSICAL presented by Broadway Across America at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts as part of the 2014/2015 BMO Harris Bank Broadway at the Marcus Center Series from July 7 to July 12 will take center stage on the award-winning morning show The Balancing Act® on the Lifetime® Channel on Tuesday, November 18th at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT) and will re-air on Tuesday, November 25th at 7:30 a.m.(ET/PT) on Lifetime. Featuring more than 40 classic hits such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” MOTOWN THE MUSICAL tells the story behind the hits as Diana, Smokey, Berry and the whole Motown family fight against the odds to create the soundtrack of change in America. Motown shattered barriers, shaped our lives and made us all move to the same beat.

In this sixth and final episode of the “Broadway Balances America” series, host Amber Milt goes backstage to learn what it’s like to transform into a Supreme at MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. She’ll meet up with cast and crew including Krystal Joy Brown, who plays the legendary Dianna Ross, to talk beaded dresses and work-life balance; Director Charles Randolph-Wright, to gain his insights on how Motown music changed the world; Costume Designer Emilio Sosa, who gives his take on how clothing influences attitude; and Wig/Hair Supervisor Heather Wright, who shows Amber how wigs are an integral part of the transformation.

“Broadway Balances America” highlights the shows featured on Broadway Across America’s 2014-2015 Broadway series nationwide – from Boston to Costa Mesa, from Houston to Minneapolis, and everywhere in between.
