“Bring Your Fest Self” to Summerfest Weekend 2

MILWAUKEE, WI (June 29, 2022) – After a successful opening weekend, Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance continues with another blockbuster lineup. Weekend 2 will kick off Thursday, June 30 with Disturbed and Lamb of God with Chevelle, and New Medicine at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
Summerfest Tech is celebrating its fifth year with a focus on innovation. The premiere tech event will take place June 29 and 30, 2022 at various locations throughout Milwaukee, including Henry Maier Festival Park, home to Summerfest. The FREE event includes speakers from international companies like Rockwell Automation and Johnson Controls, as well as a pitch competition where winners will receive a portion of a $50,000 prize. This weekend only:
- Swing by the Nintendo Switch™ Road Trip experience in the Activity Zone on the south end of the grounds for your hands-on playtime with the newest Nintendo Switch OLED Model. Play demos of the latest games, including Nintendo Switch™ Sports, Mario Strikers™: Battle League, and Kirby™ and the Forgotten Land.
- The Official Milwaukee Brewers Tailgate takes place July 2 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gruber Law Offices SportsZone. Come cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates and listen to the live broadcast of the game from WTMJ 620 AM. Fans will also have the chance to interact with the Milwaukee Brewers Street Team, Bernie Brewer™, and Barrelman.™ Challenge your friends to a game of bags, giant Jenga, or giant Connect-4, and participate in various challenges for a chance to win prizes. Ballpark-style snack and beverage experiences will also be available during the Tailgate.
Salute the Military on July 1 during Generac Military Appreciation Day. All active-duty military personnel and veterans who present a valid Military ID, along with four family members, will be admitted free between Noon – 6:00 p.m.
At 3:00 p.m. the Military Appreciation Day Ceremony will take place at the Generac Power Stage featuring speaker Army Staff Sergeant and bronze star for valor recipient Keni Thomas. For more information visit Summerfest.com.

Other admission promotions for Summerfest Weekend 2 include:
- The popular Throwback Thursday presented by Pick ‘n Save Thursday, June 30 from Noon – 6:00 p.m. featuring $5 admission and 50% off select beverages, along with music through the decades from artists including The FIXX, Tommy DeCarlo – Singer of Boston, Son Volt, and more.
- Kinship Community Food Day Friday, July 1 from Noon – 3:00 p.m. The first 2,000 patrons who donate three (3) non-perishable food items at the Mid Gate will receive one (1) FREE Summerfest admission ticket. All donations benefit Kinship Community Food Center.
- Northwestern Mutual “Make A Child Smile” Day Saturday, July 2 from Noon – 3:00 p.m.. The first 2,500 patrons who donate new or gently used children’s books with a $10 minimum value will receive one (1) FREE Summerfest admission ticket. All books collected at the Mid Gate Promotions Booth will be donated to Next Door.
Summerfest Shuttle continues this weekend and offers a streamlined and affordable option to get to Summerfest. There are five-routes that run continuously starting daily at 5:00 p.m. Round-trip fare is $15. Riders are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets on the Summerfest Store.
