Brewers Partner with Wisconsin Law Enforcement to Distribute Baseball Trading Cards to Youth
Brewers Team Up With Local Police to Expand Trading Print Tradition Throughout the State
MILWAUKEE – Last season, the Milwaukee Brewers partnered with the Milwaukee Police Department to bring back the distribution of Brewers trading card prints by local police, a program that helped officers connect with youth through their mutual love for baseball. In response to overwhelming support of the program, the Milwaukee Brewers are expanding the initiative throughout the state to Green Bay, Madison, La Crosse and Kenosha Police Departments.
“We have received an overwhelmingly positive response to the revived baseball trading card print program, with departments throughout the state highly interested in distributing in their locales,” said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers President – Business Operations. “We look forward to working locally with police departments from around the state and developing a future generation of Brewers fans.”The new baseball trading card prints will feature some of the Milwaukee Brewers fan favorites, including outfielders Christian Yelich, Jackson Chourio and Sal Frelick, catcher William Contreras, as well as infielders Brice Turang and Joey Ortiz.
The 2025 Trading Card Print Packs were in collaboration with Los Angeles based artist Pop Fly, who has previously collaborated with Topps, Robin Yount, Bob Uecker and more. Law enforcement officers will be handing out new comic book-inspired prints, in complete packs, that meshes fond childhood memories together: creative comic book art and Wisconsin’s hometown baseball team. The designs offer high-energy colors, phrases, and a twist on traditional comic onomatopoeia such as “Ka-Brew!”
Fans and trading card enthusiasts should mark their calendars for Trading Card Day on Friday, June 27 where the first 25,000 fans will receive a pack of Topps trading cards. Artist Pop Fly will be on site to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, in addition to having art prints available for purchase and autograph signing opportunities. Additionally, 12 local card shops will be onsite from Milwaukee, Madison, Janesville and Green Bay.
