MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have named first baseman Blake Burke as Minor League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher Jarrette Bonet as Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April.

Burke batted .242/.342/.586 with 8 doubles, a triple, 8 HR, 20 RBI, 17 runs scored, 9 stolen bases and a .928 OPS in 24 games with Double-A Biloxi in April.

Selected in Competitive Balance Round A (No. 34 overall) of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Tennessee, Burke tied for the Southern League lead with 8 HR in April. He also led the league in extra-base hits (17), doubles (8) and total bases (58) and ranked among league leaders in RBI (4th, 20), slugging percentage (4th, .586), OPS (5th, .928), runs (T5th, 17), hits (6th, 24) and stolen bases (8th, 9).

Burke, 22, reached base in all 24 games he played in April, hitting safely in 17 contests. He became the fastest Shuckers player to reach 20 RBI in a season on April 30 at Pensacola (24 games), surpassing the previous record of 28 games held by Brett Phillips (2016) and Joey Wiemer (2022).

Bonet earned his honor in the first month of his professional career. The 20-year-old went 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA (23.1ip, 8er) and 26 strikeouts over 5 starts for Class-A Wilson in April. Bonet posted a 1.16 WHIP for the month, and opponents batted just .222 against him (18-for-81).

Signed by the Brewers last July as a non-drafted free agent out of San Jacinto College (TX), Bonet posted a pair of scoreless starts for the Warbirds in April. He tossed 5.0 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts on April 11 at Salem (3h, 2bb, 5k, 1hbp) to earn his first professional win and closed the month with 6.0 scoreless frames on April 29 vs. Salem (2h, 1bb, 2k).
