Brewers and Fox Sports Wisconsin Announce Multi-Year Agreement
Brewers Ranked 7th in MLB with 4.3 Household Rating for 2020 Season
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers and Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ: SBGI) today announced a new multi-year media rights agreement for FOX Sports Wisconsin, (rebranding to Bally Sports Wisconsin in the coming months) to continue as the television home of the Brewers. The agreement begins with the 2021 MLB season. Terms are not being disclosed.
“With Spring Training starting in just a few days, we look forward to bringing Milwaukee Brewers baseball back to the air,” said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers President – Business Operations. “As we look to bring fans back to American Family Field for the start of the season, our long-term relationship with FOX Sports Wisconsin also offers a direct connection to the game-day experience for viewers away from the ballpark.”
FOX Sports Wisconsin, a Sinclair-owned regional sports network, is in its 24th season as the network home of the Brewers. FOX Sports Wisconsin will serve as the exclusive television partner for the upcoming 2021 regular season, slated to begin on April 1, and will announce a Brewers Spring Training broadcast schedule in the near future.
Brian Anderson serves as play-by-play announcer for the majority of Brewers telecasts, while Matt Lepay and Jeff Levering call play-by-play periodically. Bill Schroeder will return as the game analyst, with Sophia Minnaert reporting.
