Brewers Acquire Right-Handed Reliever Antonio Senzatela from Rockies
Send Minor Leaguers Mark Manfredi (LHP) and Juan Martínez (INF) to Colorado
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired right-handed reliever Antonio Senzatela from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for left-handed pitcher Mark Manfredi and infielder Juan Martínez. The announcement was made by President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Matt Arnold.
Senzatela, 31, has spent his entire 10-year Major League career (2017-26) with the Rockies, appearing in 212 games/145 starts. He has pitched exclusively in relief this season, going 9-2 with 3.61 ERA and 3 saves in 34 appearances. In his career as a reliever, Senzatela has gone 11-3 with a 3.75 ERA and 3 saves in 67 appearances. Conversely, he is 41-58 with a 5.29 ERA as a starter. Senzatela has a club option for the 2027 season.
Manfredi, 26, was selected in the ninth round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft from the University of Dayton. He was 4-2 with 3.35 ERA and 5 saves in 34 relief appearances this season between Double-A Biloxi (16 games) and Triple-A Nashville (18 games).
Martínez, 19, was signed as a non-drafted free agent in January 2024 from Venezuela. He batted .307 (61-for-199) with 7 HR, 33 RBI and 27 SB in 58 games between the Rookie ACL Brewers (40 games) and Class-A Wilson (18 games).
