Brewers Acquire Infielder Owen Miller From Guardians
Send Player to Be Named or Cash to Cleveland
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired infielder Owen Miller from the Cleveland Guardians in exchange for a player to be named or cash. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold.
Miller, 26, played in 130 games with the Guardians in 2022, batting .243 with 6 HR and 51 RBI. He made his Major League debut with Cleveland in 2021 and started 159 games over the past two seasons (89g at 1B, 48g at 2B, 17g at DH, 4g at 3B, 1g at SS).
The native of Mequon, WI attended Ozaukee High School and was selected by San Diego in the third round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft out of Illinois State University. Miller was traded to Cleveland as part of a nine-player trade on Aug. 31, 2020.
