Beginning tomorrow, Buskerfest brings music, magic and storytelling to downtown Milwaukee’s streets

WHAT: Downtown Milwaukee’s streets will come alive with music, magic and storytelling for Buskerfest, Friday, Aug. 6 – Sunday, Aug. 8. The multi-act event is part of a series of programs under Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21’s Jumpst(ART) Downtown campaign. Buskerfest is produced in partnership with Sculpture Milwaukee.

Over 60 local acts will perform at locations in East Town, Westown and the Historic Third Ward, including various Sculpture Milwaukee sites where performances will feature a variety of genres—hip hop and R&B, jazz, Americana, acoustic, instrumental, funk and soul. Each act will perform for an hour and tips are encouraged. Signage with will be posted next to each performer with virtual tip options to help local music thrive. Buskerfestcoincides with the USA Triathlon, which will welcome thousands of athletes and visitors to downtown Milwaukee. The full lineup for Buskerfest is available at www.milwaukeedowntown.com.
