Milwaukee, Wis. – Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin (BBB) has extended its application deadline for both the Wisconsin Torch Awards for Ethics and Spark Awards for Entrepreneurship to March 8, 2019.

BBB urges Wisconsin businesses and non-profits of any industry and size who demonstrate strong, ethical business practices to apply.

The annual Torch Awards for Ethics were created to honor ethical Wisconsin companies and nonprofits who demonstrate high ethical standards and exemplify excellence in business practices. These organizations build trust among their employees, customers and their communities by advertising honestly, remaining transparent and honoring their promises.

2018 Wisconsin Torch Award recipients include Kerzner Remodeling & Construction, Badger Basement Systems, Health Payment Systems, Partnership Bank, Tundraland Home Improvements, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, and ECE.

In its third year, the Spark Awards for Entrepreneurship recognize young Wisconsin entrepreneurial leaders who demonstrate a high level of character and connect with their communities. Business owners who are under the age of 35 before March 8, 2019 are eligible to apply.

2018 Spark Award recipients include Crystal Vista Window Cleaning, K&G Contractors and Weddings with a Twist.

Recipients of the 2019 Torch and Spark Awards will be recognized at the annual Torch Awards for Ethics luncheon on May 15, 2019 at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.
