MILWAUKEE – Wednesday, February 1, 2017 – Milwaukee Film is pleased to announce that the 9th Annual Milwaukee Film Festival will take place from September 28 to October 12, 2017. The 15-day festival includes feature films, shorts programs, education screenings, post-film conversations, panel discussions, and parties. Milwaukee Film’s Call for Entries will open later this month.

Last year’s festival presented 283 films from 51 countries at five venues and on six screens. With the support of 137 sponsors and 287 Community Partners, the festival saw continued growth in overall event attendance – 76,899 in 2016, compared to 70,855 in 2015. In addition, the 2016 festival boasted 87 sold-out screenings (compared to 77 in 2015). More than 150 industry guests participated in festival events over the course of 15 days.
