Ald. Dimitrijevic participating in panel spotlighting parents in the workforce
Alderwoman Marina Dimitrijevic is slated to participate in a panel discussion hosted by MARS Solutions Group that will explore parental participation in the tech workforce, focusing on returnships and parental leave. The discussion titled “Making A Strong Comeback” will take place on Monday, October 30 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the BMO Tower, 790 N. Water St.
“As a mother, it wasn’t long ago that I experienced the challenges that come with childbirth and raising a newborn. I know how critical this time is for a child’s development, a mother’s healing, and a family’s opportunity to bond, which is why I pursued a paid parental leave policy that quite frankly was long overdue,” said Alderwoman Dimitrijevic. “I’m delighted to be participating in this upcoming panel discussion so we can move the conversation forward with leaders in other sectors as we advocate for progressive policies that benefit families.”
The insightful panel discussion and thought-provoking table sessions will invite professionals, visionary leaders, and policymakers to converge and share invaluable insights and best practices. The event is free and open to the public, and those interested in participating can register here. Additional panelists include: Aaron Towns, BMO Harris; Shaleyna Velez, Northwestern Mutual; Cynthia Sternard, Associated Bank; and moderator Rashi Arora Khosla, MARS Solutions Group.
