(Muskego) – Alan DeYoung will officially be on the ballot for the November 2020 General Election for Assembly District 83 (Muskego, Hales Corners, Waterford, Big Bend, Vernon, and parts of Waukesha and East Troy), after filing nominations papers with the Wisconsin Elections Commission located at their temporary location at UW’s Union South.

Alan DeYoung is a new candidate to Wisconsin politics with a background in healthcare, technology, nonprofits, and construction. He has been employed with the Wisconsin EMS Association for the last 2 years, representing First Responders across the state, providing education, equipment, and member benefits to those on the frontlines.

“I’m excited to run for office for the first time. I believe we need someone who represents all of the views of our district, not just part of the district.” DeYoung said. “I’m proud to have strong values while being able to understand all sides of an issue and find ways to meet in the middle.”

“There is no room for extremist views, especially in a time when a pandemic has further divided us and greatly affected individuals and businesses across our state.”, explained DeYoung. DeYoung is running on a platform that is fundamentally moderate, focusing on advancing through agreement and building through partnerships.

The primary election will take place on August 11th, 2020 and the general election will occur on November 3rd, 2020.

Raised in southeastern Wisconsin, Alan owned a small business and has worked for multiple healthcare agencies including startups to Fortune 100 companies. Alan is concerned with moving forward as a state and has a vision for advancing Wisconsin communities. He is a proud husband and father of 2.
