AFSCME PEOPLE, Milwaukee Area Labor Council Endorse Chevy Johnson

Chevy Johnson has announced the endorsements of a number of former and current elected officials, progressive organizations, community leaders, and neighbors.

MILWAUKEE – Chevy Johnson, candidate for Second District Alderperson, is honored and privileged to announce the endorsements of AFSCME PEOPLE and the Milwaukee Area Labor Council.

Jason Sidener, Director of Political Action & Member Mobilization for AFSCME Council 32, noted “Chevy impressed our members with his commitment to public service and dedication to our shared values. We look forward to working with him to aid City employees and ensure that they will have a seat at the table.”

Chevy Johnson has announced the endorsements of a number of former and current elected officials, progressive organizations, community leaders, and neighbors. Chevy is running against four other opponents in the February 16th Primary Election. Chevy is committed to improving the city’s infrastructure, developing sustainable economic development, and better public safety.

“AFSCME PEOPLE and the Milwaukee Area Labor Council are two organizations that continue to stand up for working people in Milwaukee.” noted Johnson, following the endorsements. “I am humbled by their support and I look forward to working with them to improve the lives of working families in Milwaukee.”

Chevy Johnson recently served as Staff Assistant to the Mayor of Milwaukee. A long time resident of the 2nd district, Chevy is committed to bringing responsible, accessible and dependable leadership to the Milwaukee Common Council. The primary election is February 16th, 2016‬ and the general election is April 5th, 2016‬.
