Abie Eisenbach is Running for State Assembly District 17

My name is Abie Eisenbach and I am running for the State Assembly from the 17th district. Having lived in Milwaukee for most of my life, I think I am uniquely qualified to bring a needed perspective to local government. I feel that there is more that I need to do for myself, my family, my friends, and Our City. We need representation that will get to the root of the problem in our city instead of just putting on band aids like we have been doing.  We need more after school programs for our youth, trade schools, apprenticeship opportunities for everyone. We must also bring mental health awareness back to the forefront and remove any stigma that it brings.

My extensive involvement in community shows my commitment to our neighborhood and its residents. As a community leader, I co-founded the Sherman Park Citizens Patrol. We work together with St. Joe’s Ascension to help build a safe and vibrant neighborhood by having our volunteers patrol the neighborhood on a regular basis. I also was instrumental in founding a volunteer community assistance organization to help those who need immediate non-emergency assistance, assisting motorists stranded due to minor hurdles such as car lockouts, a battery jump, a flat tire, or running out of gas.

Additionally, I have been a board member of the Sherman Park Community Association since 2016. SPCA has a long tradition of community organizing for neighborhood empowerment through block watches and quality of life issues.

I have worked very hard to create a working productive relationship with the District 7 police department and the local community. I have competed the Citizens Academy and am an Auxiliary officer at 7th district.

In my local Jewish community, I am the committee president of the security board of Yeshiva Elementary School. I also am the Executive Director of Congregation Beis Dovid, a local small synagogue in the Sherman Park neighborhood, and as a Congregation Beth Jehuda community event member, I plan community wide family friendly events that help bring neighbors together.

After being involved in the kosher food business for the past 14 years, I decided to found my own company Kosher Foods LLC. We sell and distribute kosher food to communities across the Midwest.

Together with my wife, Chana, we are the parents of 6 children. It is because I want to make sure my children grow up with the best neighborhood possible, that I am running for State Assembly.
