A Legacy of Transformation: PEARLS For Teen Girls Documents Generational Impact in New Video and Launches Fall Campaign with $250,000 Match

MILWAUKEE, WI – December, 2023 – PEARLS for Teen Girls, a leadership development non-profit serving girls in 5th through 12th grade in Milwaukee, that is celebrating 30 years of service in 2023, is premiering a new video on Monday, December 11 as part of their fall fundraising campaign which launched on November 27. The new video documents the incredible story of two PEARLS alumna, mother and daughter duo, Kandis Early and Janiah Smith. PEARLS’ longtime supporter, The Zilber Family Foundation, is matching all donations during the fall campaign up to $250,000.

PEARLS has been serving girls in Milwaukee for 30 years and this new video is testament to the generational impact its programming has on girls and their families. It shows what happens when girls receive the support and space to become their best selves — they break generational cycles for their families and create a ripple effect of positive influence that extends farther than what is possible to measure.

PEARLS invites the Milwaukee community to join them in investing in the future leaders of our community. They are seeking a pledge of $30 per month in honor of their 30th anniversary which will help fund one group’s snacks for the year. The video was developed by PEARLS in partnership with Seadog Creative, a production company specializing in serving small business and non-profit organizations in the Milwaukee area and beyond.
