3rd Annual Frida Fest returns this weekend

Alderman Scott Spiker invites residents to participate in this weekend’s 3^rd Annual Frida Fest, an annual celebration of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The Festival will take place Saturday, July 9 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 10 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Farmhouse Paint Bar and Banquet Hall located at 4511 S. 6^th St.

The two day celebration will include a variety of family-friendly activities such as interactive art installations, live music, food trucks, local vendors, educational pieces, and the much anticipated Frida Kahlo look-alike contest featuring both adult and youth categories.

“Frida Fest has become a tradition unlike any other, and is a fantastic offering for the entire family,” said Alderman Spiker. “I hope residents citywide take full advantage of this opportunity to connect with neighbors, experience a wide array of art and culture, and enjoy a lovely summer weekend in Milwaukee.”
