2019 Riverwest FemFest
This week-long, city-wide festival and fundraiser was founded in Milwaukee, WI in 2015.
The 5th Annual Riverwest FemFest is here!!
2019 programming includes Gallery Day at multiple galleries throughout Milwaukee showing work from local artists, a Film & Video Showcase highlighting queer, non-binary, trans, and female identifying filmmakers, a Keg Stand-Up Comedy night at Lakefront Brewery, a two-day Maker’s Market, numerous Workshops, and five days of music featuring over 60 local and national artists.
This week-long, city-wide festival and fundraiser was founded in Milwaukee, WI in 2015. This years’ festival runs from May 26th – June 2nd, 2019. Each year FemFest transforms and grows into a more expansive celebration. With that in mind, this year the Fest will be found all over Milwaukee and not just in its home neighborhood Riverwest.
Riverwest FemFest seeks to empower our communities through the celebration of art. It is a platform for femmes, trans, GNC, women, non-binary and POC, honoring the reclamation of power for those who have been historically excluded from, or not had, creative spaces.
All proceeds from FemFest go toward community-based organizations within the city of Milwaukee that work to help and protect women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and families. The 2019 festival beneficiaries will be Diverse & Resilient and the Milwaukee Women’s Center.
