Headliner: Zach Peterson Zach creates thoughtful and different comedy with uncommon takes on common subjects. When Zach is not touring the country with the likes of Dave Ross or Timmy Williams from The Whitest Kids you Know, he makes his home in Chicago IL. In Chicago, Zach helps run the Arguments and Grievances comedy debate show that was just named “Best Variety Show” by Chicago Magazine and recently featured at LA’s Nerdmelt Theater. He is also one of the organizers of the Comedy Exposition of 2014 Chicago’s first DIY stand up festival. In the past he has featured for Joe DeRosa and Matt Braunger for such clubs like Up Comedy Club and The Comedy Attic. Feature: J. Tyler Menz Tyler is Milwaukee’s favorite son. He has opened for a wide range of comedians, most notably a recent tour as the feature for Todd Barry. Tyler’s humor draws on his experiences as an elementary school teacher, family, and his deep contempt of how painfully white he is. In addition to performing stand up, Tyler produces and hosts many shows in the Milwaukee area including The Goodnight Milwaukee Show (sketch), Voyager (improv), Subjective (stand up), and the He Said She Said podcast. Host: Greg Bach Greg is Milwaukee’s third favorite son. Greg has performed all over the world with many national headliners, including W. Kamau Bell, Godfrey, BD Freeman, Tom Clark and Shane Mauss . Greg is a writer, performer and producer for The Goodnight Milwaukee Show and Dynamo Kickstand. PANALURE AND EXFABULA Sat Feb 13 2016 8pm @ 224 W Bruce St. - 8pm Milwaukee Band Panalure and Storytellers Ex Fabula Come Together Again in “Cabin Fever, Songs for a Cold Winter Night” at Anodyne Coffee. Milwaukee band Panalure and storytellers Ex Fabula originally partnered last winter under the theme of, Stories of Love, Lust and Murder. Hosted by Anodyne Coffee the show paired the original songs of Panalure with personal, true stories by members of Ex Fabula. The show was a big success and drew a near sell-out crowd and also a large listening audience from WUWM radio’s broadcast of the performance. According to Fred Ziegler, Panalure’s vocalist and main songwriter, “We really enjoyed working with Ex Fabula and the show brought together a new and very attentive audience. The audience was there to listen as everyone loves a story. With Cabin Fever we’re taking the integration of Ex Fabula’s stories and Panalure’s songs to the next level. The new batch of songs and stories in Cabin Fever are an invitation to come in from the cold of the Wisconsin winter and reflect on what it means to hunker down and go inside, both physically and emotionally.” According to Megan McGee curator and director of Ex Fabula, “Panalure’s new songs are a bit more acoustic and intimate, giving us the opportunity to intertwine their songs and our stories in a way that will be even more exciting for the audience. We had a lot of fun with the first show and clearly the audience loved it.” Panalure is veteran song-writer, vocalist and guitarist, Fred Ziegler with Nathan Kilen on drums, Michael De Boer and Jason Klagstad on guitars, Ken Hanson on bass and Kari Hoff on background vocals. $10 advance tickets available here-- https://anodynecoffee.com/shop/product-category/events/

THRIFTONES Sat Jan 2 2016 8:00 pm @ 224 W. Bruce Street Milwaukee FREE SHOW! Join us as we welcome 2016 with a FREE SHOW featuring Anodyne's unofficial house band- THRIFTONES !! "Thriftones are a rare species of band. Their itinerant sound cannot be confined and their wanderings endless. You may find them playing to a colony of squirrels in the north woods of Wisconsin or maybe even a bar in Milwaukee. Whether it be a bluesy take of sensual master Latimore or one of their self-described “folkadelic” jams, the Thriftones are one of the state's greatest purveyors of what some may call a good ol' time. It don't matter if you're a teetotaler, Thriftones will intoxicate your mind, while their Americana rhythms contort your bones into strange symbols of approval. Matthew Davies, the bands multi-talented vocalist, is a man of insights and stories that trace back further than your grandfather's facial stubble. His tales are akin to those of rustic ramblers who've seen, up close, far too many sawdust covered bar floors and way too many of America's dirty crevices. Simply put the Thriftones are Milwaukee's gateway to the drug they call America." by Michael Dupar 88.9 Radio Milwaukee The Thriftones consist of: Matthew Davies - Vocals/Guitar/Keys/Harmonica, Andrew Koenig - Guitar/Vocals, Thomas Jones - Drums and Eston Bennet - Bass - See more at: http://www.radiomilwaukee.org/414-music-music/thriftonesmilwaukees-own#sthash.y5z1seyd.dpuf https://www.facebook.com/thriftones/
