Marquette University Symphony Orchestra: “Schubert’s Eighth”

The Marquette University Symphony Orchestra will perform their annual spring concert at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at the Varsity Theatre, 1326 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI. This performance is free and open to the public.

The symphony, lead by Maestro Erik Janners, will be featuring guest conductor Filippo Salemmi, as well as guest musicians from Italy. The MUSO opens their concert with Mozart’s iconic Overture to The Magic Flute, followed by Schubert’s Symphony No. 8, “Unfinished”. Following intermission, the graduating seniors of the symphony will be recognized. Then, the concert will conclude with Joseph Haydn’s joyful Symphony No. 104, “London”. This performance concludes the MUSO’s 2017-18 concert season.
